High-power radiofrequency ablation for ventricular tachycardia in patients with structural heart disease: one-year follow-up data from the multicenter prospective registry

چکیده

Background: The outcomes of ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation in patients with structural heart disease (SHD) are not ideal. High-power radiofrequency (RFA) may have a long-term beneficial effect this patient cohort. Objective: To evaluate the safety, early and efficacy high-power RFA for VT concomitant SHD multicenter prospective registry. Methods: Our study included total 63 (66,7% them were men; median age was 61.0 [51.0-66.5] years) ischemic drug-resistant who scheduled (50 W). Non-fluoroscopic 3D mapping systems used bipolar activation standard settings. safety end point perioperative complications, such as death, hemopericardium, stroke, myocardial infarction, electrical storm, vascular complications. points non-inducibility at freedom from 12 months follow-up. secondary changes implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) therapy, sonographic findings, number hospital admissions. Results: All underwent under general sedation. One clinical induced 96.8% before ablation. After no VTs (P < .0001 vs baseline). No complications observed. Freedom without antiarrhythmic drugs 82.6% ICD therapies significantly decreased follow-up compared baseline (3.2% 31.7%, respectively; P = .0001). left ejection fraction increased 48.7% ± 14.7% to 50.3% 11.9% .038). There statistically significant decrease admission rate after (from 2 [range: 0-12] 0 0-3], .0001).Conclusion: ischemia demonstrated its high efficacy, which linked improvement. Further randomized studies will help introduce approach into routine practice. Received 5 September 2022. Revised 16 February 2023. Accepted 31 May Funding: did sponsorship. Ablation of ventricular tachycardia in patients with structural heart disease.

Catheter ablation is an important therapeutic option for controlling recurrent ventricular arrhythmias in patients with heart disease. Although implantable defibrillators are generally first line therapy in this patient population, a substantial number of patients require additional therapy with either antiarrhythmic drugs, ablation, or both. Studies of mapping and ablation have produced furthe...

Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation of Ventricular Tachycardia in Patients Without Structural Heart Disease

Background. Radiofrequency energy has been used safely and successfully to eliminate accessory pathways in patients with the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and the substrate for atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia. However, this form of ablation has had only limited success in eliminating ventricular tachycardia in patients with structural heart disease. In contrast, direct-current cat...

[Radiofrequency catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia in patients with an implantable defibrillator. Long-term follow-up].

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES The frequent occurrence of ventricular tachycardia can be a serious problem for patients with an implantable defibrillator, and may necessitate adjuvant antiarrhythmic therapy or radiofrequency catheter ablation. We analyzed the long-term results obtained with this latter therapy in patients suffering from frequent or continuous ventricular tachycardia. PATIENTS AN...

Radiofrequency ablation therapy in idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia with no obvious structural heart disease.

BACKGROUND The feasibility and efficacy of radiofrequency ablation therapy in idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia has not been assessed in a large group of patients. METHODS AND RESULTS Twenty consecutive patients with idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia and without structural heart disease underwent electrophysiological study, pharmacological interventions with administration of vera...

Catheter Ablation of Ventricular Tachycardia in Patients With Structural Heart Disease Using Cooled Radiofrequency Energy Results of a Prospective Multicenter Study

BACKGROUND Catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia (VT) associated with structural heart disease is more difficult than ablation of idiopathic VT. The larger size of responsible reentrant circuits contributes to the difficulty in achieving an adequate ablation lesion with conventional techniques. Recently, cooling of the ablation electrode by saline irrigation has been shown to increase RF...
